Location:
This position is based offshore, though there may be a requirement to visit and work at other company locations or supplier’s premises as required.
The postholder must be able to attend our global headquarters in Aberdeen.

Reporting Line:
The Senior Toolpusher will report directly to the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM), with a functional reporting line to the Onshore Rig Manager.
Role:
The Senior Toolpusher will be responsible for managing and delivering all offshore drilling and subsea operations on the assign MODU in a Safe, Efficient and Timely manner, also responsible for supervising and mentoring the drilling and subsea teams.

- Manage the planning, delivery and reporting of all well and subsea operations in accordance with company well delivery plans, client’s expectations, and regulatory
requirements. - Ensure all well program required 3rd party services, materials and equipment are discussed, and delivery confirmed, with the Offshore Drilling Materials Coordinator
to meet the well delivery schedule. - Ensure all drilling and subsea teams have the necessary competencies, training and skills to perform their tasks and are subject to regular mentoring, appraisal and
feedback sessions. - Prepare the drilling department budget, review and discuss with relief, Maintenance Supervisor and Barge Engineer prior to submission to OIM.
- Ensure all drilling and subsea related preventive maintenance, general maintenance and minor repairs are scheduled to avoid the critical path.
- Plan and coordinate well control drills and ensure well control emergency procedures are fully implemented and drill crew competencies/certification are valid.
- Monitor supervise and coach 3rd party service representatives that may be involved in supporting the well the operations.
- Discuss, agree and communicate shift and well delivery priorities with Senior Abandonment Supervisors, 3rd party service companies, OIM and Night Toolpusher.
- Ensure accurate and complete handovers are carried out at the end of work shift and work cycle.
- Attend onshore, or offshore meetings, planning events and training programs, as required.

Key outcomes:
- Zero recordable incidents related to MODU drilling subsea operations
- Well target costs are consistently ≤ target cost
- All documented drilling and subsea Key Performance Indicators are met or bettered
- Zero non-conformance reports, within drilling and subsea areas, exceed close out dates
- Drilling and Subsea crew competence average is ≥ 90%

Knowledge & Competency:
Essential:
- 10 years drilling experience with 2 years proven experience as Senior Toolpusher.
- Five or more years of experience working on semi-submersible
- Completion of all training and certification requirements for Senior Toolpusher position as described in the Companies training matrix.
- IWCF Well Control for Supervisor Level 4
- Prior experience in managing UK North Sea P&A operations
Desired:
- First degree in Engineering or Petroleum discipline
- Business management qualification
