Reporting Line:
The Technical Superintendent will report directly to the Operations Director.
Role:
The Technical Superintendent shall support the company’s owned and operated assets in all aspects relating to asset integrity, including: regulatory compliance, class surveys, engineering support, management of change, vendor liaison and project planning. As a key member of the onshore operations support team, the role will also provide advise to other team members related to technical and asset integrity matters.
Key responsibilities:
The Technical Superintendent will be required to:
- Directly and indirectly support the company’s assets in all technical and asset integrity matters:
- Planning class and regulatory surveys and inspections
- Providing and coordinating front line engineering support
- Overseeing equipment overhauls/inspections and managing vendors
- Ensuring application of a rigorous Management of Change process in all proposed or executed modifications.
- Provide guidance to the offshore management teams in all technical matters
- Assist the Rig Manager(s) in matters related to asset integrity and modifications, including attending client meetings
- Provide oversight on the application of the Company’s maintenance management/ERP system relating to equipment integrity
- Provide initial planning and organisation of capital and maintenance projects
- Assist the onshore and offshore management teams in personnel development and succession planning
- Be a key part of building the company’s identity and culture as a professional and focused P&A specialist contractor.

Knowledge & Competency:
Essential:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role within a MODU owner/operator, or owner of other relevant assets such as offshore construction vessels
- Qualified with a relevant degree, such as engineering or technology, or possessing commensurate industry experience such as Chief Engineer’s tickets or demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Ability to take on and rapidly process large volumes of information in a structured and organised manner
- Understanding of the requirements and workings of Classification Societies and other regulators
- Good team player
